I didn't arrive here through a straight line. I arrived as a teen mom who migrated to the United States with $500 and a determination that nobody could explain — including me.
I've built careers in spaces that questioned whether I belonged. I've sat in rooms where I was the only Latina, the only woman, the only one without a traditional path. And I've learned that when there's no seat at the table, you don't wait for an invitation. You bring your own chair.
What I've built,. the career, the credentials, the programs, the stages, was never handed to me. It was built through audacity, accountability, and the willingness to be transparent even when it was uncomfortable.
